Part-Time Sales Associate

Do you love vintage finds, beautiful spaces and creating a memorable experience for customers?

The Cottage Mercantile is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and dependable person to join our team part-time. Our shop is filled with thoughtfully curated vintage finds, home goods and unique pieces, and we’re looking for someone who will enjoy sharing that experience with everyone who walks through our doors.

The Role

As part of our team, you’ll help create the warm, welcoming and inspiring atmosphere that makes a visit to The Cottage Mercantile special. Responsibilities will include:

• Providing exceptional, friendly and attentive customer service
• Creating a fabulous and memorable experience for every customer
• Assisting customers with purchases and product questions
• Operating and managing our POS system
• Restocking merchandise and keeping displays looking beautiful
• Maintaining the overall cleanliness, organization and appearance of the shop
• Completing opening and closing procedures
• Helping with the general day-to-day needs of a busy retail store

We'd Love to Meet Someone Who Is...

Warm, outgoing and genuinely enjoys working with people. You should be dependable, self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative when something needs to be done.
An appreciation for vintage pieces, home décor and beautiful spaces is a definite bonus!

Retail or customer service experience is an asset, but just as important to us is finding someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and natural ability to make people feel welcome.
